Debt Elimination programs have the truth on their side, but unfortunately, they are going after an industry that is corrupted, and is huge. They are sometimes referred to as the PTB or the Powers That Be. And, my friends, that is not necessarily the government, but the implaced money barons of the world that control us. They will not let go of the cushy cash cow without a struggle.

Our local bank where we have beem for several years with our accounts is not really the bad guy. All those people that you have gotten to know who work there don't know what really goes on behind the scenes. In fact, they are the "little people" just like you and me. They are the victims.

Imagine this....every time you make a charge to your credit card, and sign your name, you are making the bank 9 or 10 times that amount. If you are buying a $50 sweater because it is just you, and you have got to have it, just realize that you not only got a new sweater, but you made the bank about $500, too. Plus they add insult to injury by sending you a bill (invoice or statement) at the beginning of the next month telling you that you now owe them $50 more on your account.

I recently talked to someone who was promoting as service where she had successfully gotten rid of her debt at 50 cents on the dollar. She thought she had done a good thing. I told her she had cheated herself, and that her $40,000 of credit card debt was fully dischargable if she had done the right course. As it turned out she still paid the bank $20,000 and thought she was getting a good deal.

One thing I have noticed is the credit cards I have seem to get very unhappy with me if I do not pay them they way they want me to. For example, if I am told in the statement that I should pay $225 as a minimum, for example, and I only pay $150, they slap penalty fees on me and send nasty comments. You would think they would be nicer since I am making the rich (along with millions of others)

Does this mean that you consolidate debts or have a 50% reduction in your payments, or what? I can't believe that you can just "eliminate" it.

I have had 4 credit cards with about $25,000 of debt for the last 2 years. I keep paying the monthly charges, but I am so behind, and the bank keeps adding more interest and changing the amount the charge me, that I can never get to the point where I am paying down on the principle. The bank is nasty to me. Not like when I first signed up and started using their credit cards.
